Ultraviolet- and infrared-induced 11 beta hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 activating skin photoaging is inhibited by red ginseng extract containing high concentrations of ginsenoside Rg3(S)
Photodermatology, Photoimmunology and Photomedicine Aug 15, 2017
Nam JJ, et al. – A determination was performed of the inhibitory effects of red ginseng extract containing high concentrations of ginsenoside Rg3(S) (GERg3) on 11 beta hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (11β–HSD1)–induced skin photoaging. It was inferred that GERg3 had anti–photoaging effects in ultraviolet (UV)– or infrared (IR)–exposed human dermal fibroblasts and normal human 3D skin model.
