Ultrasound-guided pudendal nerve block in children: A new technique of ultrasound-guided transperineal approach

Gaudet-Ferrand I, et al. - Researchers, in this study, describe a new technique of transperineal pudendal nerve block, with ultrasound guidance. They tested its feasibility and assessed intraoperative effectiveness and postoperative pain control. They reported that this novel technique was feasible and afforded a good success rate. Furthermore, by enabling real-time visualization of anatomical structures and local anesthetic spread, this technique probably improve the safety of the puncture and of the injection.
