Saranteas T, et al. - This study appraised ultrasound-guided interscalene nerve block using an ultralow volume of local anesthetic (5 mL of ropivacaine, 0.75%) as an effective management strategy for post-thoracotomy shoulder girdle pain. According to findings, a substantial alleviation of post-thoracotomy pain in the shoulder but not in the scapular area could be achieved via ultrasound-guided interscalene nerve block.
