Ultrasonography assessments of optic nerve sheath diameter as a noninvasive and dynamic method of detecting changes in intracranial pressure

Wang LJ, et al. - The purpose of this trial was to assess how the ultrasonographic optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) correlated with noninvasive and dynamically monitored changes intracranial pressure (ICP). Along with the elevated ICP reduction, the dilated ONSDs decreased. For the dynamically evaluating ICP, ultrasonographic ONSD measurements could be a useful, noninvasive tool.
