Young GB - Via this study, researcher sought to address the need for more reliable prognostic criteria, with 0% false positives for ascertaining a poor prognosis (CPC of 4 or 5 categories or 3–5 categories; ie death/brain death or vegetative state or severe disability to death, respectively) at 6 months. Robust prognostic information could be gained via performing testing within the first 24 h or cardiac arrest.
