Twenty-five-gauge sutureless lensectomy in infants with congenital cataract

Tartarella MB, et al. - The purpose of this investigation was to analyze the incidence of intra- and postoperative complications of transconjunctival 25-gauge (25G) sutureless pars plicata lensectomy. This lensectomy was found to be a minimally invasive technique for congenital cataract therapy. There were no postoperative complications 81% of eyes. 81% of the operated eyes demonstrated an improvement in the visual acuity.
