Tumor-infiltrating neutrophils is prognostic and predictive for postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy benefit in patients with gastric cancer

Annals of Surgery Jan 26, 2018

Zhang H, et al. - The prognostic value of tumor-infiltrating neutrophils (TINs) was investigated and a predictive model to refine post-operative risk stratification system for patients with gastric cancer was developed. In gastric cancer, TIN was identified as an independent prognostic factor. Thus, TIN could be incorporated into standard TNM staging system to refine risk stratification and predict overall survival benefit from post-operative chemotherapy in patients with gastric cancer.
