TRIM59 overexpression correlates with poor prognosis and contributes to breast cancer progression through AKT signaling pathway
Molecular Carcinogenesis Sep 07, 2018
Liu Y, et al. - Experts evaluated TRIM59 protein expression in 95 cases of breast cancer tissues using immunohistochemistry. The effect of TRIM59 on Bcl-2 expression was abolished by AKT inhibitor treatment. The level of p53 ubiquitination was also upregulated by TRIM59 overexpression. Findings suggested an association of TRIM59 overexpression with poor prognosis and through regulation of AKT pathway, this overexpression promoted malignant behavior in human breast cancer.
