Beal EW, et al. – The authors used age–period–cohort (APC) modeling, in order to evaluate the trends in the mortality of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in the United States. Collected data shows that HCC–associated mortality is on the rise. It appears to be to secondary to an increase in the risk of HCC–associated mortality, in more recent birth cohorts among both men and women.
