Clark CM, et al. - Researchers herein sought to define the current practices in the management of secondary post-tonsillectomy hemorrhage (PTH) in children by pediatric and general otolaryngologists. For tonsillectomy perioperative management, pediatric otolaryngologists were more likely to follow American Academy of Otolaryngology guidelines. Patients with secondary PTH were seen to be managed differently by them vs general otolaryngologists. Similar management trends by region were seen but salient factors considered in the decision-making process were different.
