Hajer AA, et al. - Researchers examined the security of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) in patients over 60 years compared to patients younger than 60 years. With acceptable, not elevated perioperative morbidity and mortality rates, LSG was a low-risk operation and safe surgical method in patients ≥ 60 years of age.
