Injury Oct 31, 2019
Campana V, Ciolli G, Cazzato G, et al. - Given that Synthes Variable Angle Locking Compression Plate (VA-LCP) Curved Condylar Plates are recently criticized in the literature, researchers examined functional outcome, fracture healing, and complications of distal femoral intra-articular fractures using this device. In this retrospective study, 42 patients with distal femoral fractures treated with 4.5mm VA-LCP Curved Condylar Plate were followed at 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. Outcomes revealed no early mechanical failure rate and good clinical and radiological results in correlation to osteosynthesis with Synthes 4.5 mm VA-LCP Curved Condylar Plate.
