Gynecologic Oncology Jan 25, 2019
Yang B, et al. - Researchers examined the efficiency of comprehensive hysteroscopic evaluation and lesion resection coupled with progestin therapy in young females (median age of 32 years) with endometrial atypical hyperplasia (EAH) and early-stage endometrial cancer (EEC) who wanted to conserve their fertility. Lesion size ≤2 cm was significantly correlated with shorter treatment time to achieve complete response (CR) after adjusting for patient age, body mass index (BMI), history of gestation and type of conservative treatments. They recorded 45.0% had been pregnant, 25.0% delivered live birth, 13.3% were in the gestation period among 60 subjects who attempted to conceive after achieving CR. Only, 6.7% of the total experienced spontaneous abortion.
