Holliday EB, et al. – This study examined whether treatment at a high–volume center was correlated with improved survival among patients with non–metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma. For patients with non–metastatic disease, receiving treatment at a high–volume center was significantly correlated with survival. Improved survival at high–volume centers could be related to access to a variety of treatment modalities, multidisciplinary evaluation, and/or subspecialty expertise.
