Sagiv D, et al. - In this work, patients with traumatic perforation of the tympanic membrane (TPTM) were analyzed for the trauma mechanism, perforation characteristics, and outcome. They recognized TPTM more frequently in young males with main mechanisms of blunt trauma (an assault) or cleaning the ear canal. Complete spontaneous recovery was evident in all children.
