Transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) vs magnetic resonance (MR) for diagnosing deep infiltrating endometriosis: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Guerriero S, et al. - This systematic review of studies was performed to compare the diagnostic accuracy of TVS and MRI in Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis (DIE). The studies included patients who have been undergone both techniques. As per findings, for detecting DIE involving recto-sigmoid, uterosacral ligaments and rectovaginal septum, overall diagnostic performance of TVS and MRI was similar.
