Kilpio O, et al. - This article was written with the objective to compare the transumbilical versus lateral transabdominal removal of benign adnexal masses in laparoscopic surgery. It was concluded that the both transumbilical and transabdominal routes of abdominal mass removal amid laparoscopy was feasible and safe. However, the transumbilical route resulted in more women with very low pain-VAS scores.
