Head & Neck Dec 22, 2017
Paleri V, et al. - This research was initiated in order to detect the role of transoral robotic surgery (TORS) in the management of residual and recurrent oropharyngeal cancer. The yielded data exhibited that TORS was a valid management choice for residual and recurrent oropharyngeal cancer. Comparable oncologic outcomes were reported among open surgery and transoral laser microsurgery, with the added advantages of en bloc resections, facility for intraoperative ultrasound imaging, and inset of free flaps without mandibular split.
