Transoral robotic surgery for oropharyngeal carcinoma: Surgical margins and oncologic outcomes

Moore EJ, et al. - The objective of this research was to evaluate the oncologic outcomes after transoral robotic surgery (TORS) ± adjuvant therapy for oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). It was determined that the necessity of taking ≥2 margins to achieve resection pointed towards an increased risk of locoregional recurrence and death due to disease in oropharyngeal SCC.
