Jackson RS, et al. - In this study, the outcomes for those undergoing transoral resection with or without adjuvant therapy for HPV-related oropharyngeal carcinoma is compared. Researchers recognize that transoral surgery is an effective approach for the treatment of aforementioned carcinoma. Adjuvant therapy addition seemed to reduce the risk of recurrence and improve disease-free survival, however, there appeared no significant improvement in overall survival.
