Transcriptomic characterization of endometrioid, clear cell, and high grade serous epithelial ovarian carcinoma
Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention Jul 07, 2018
Fridley BL, et al. - In the present study, the researchers intended to describe endometrioid carcinoma (EC) and clear cell carcinoma (CC) transcriptomes relative to high grade serous carcinoma (HGSC). In this analysis, differential expression analysis of RNA sequence data obtained from fresh frozen tumors was done with nonparametric statistical analysis methods after bioinformatics processing and gene abundance normalization. Particularly those for patients with EC or CC, important histotype differences which could help in the development of treatment options were suggested. Researchers saw shorter PFS time for CC and EC patients with high gene expression for CCNB2, CORO2A, CSNK1G1, FRMD8, LIN54, LINC00664, PDK1, and PEX6, while, the opposite was seen in HGSC patients.
