Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) for improving capacity in activities and arm function after stroke: A network meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials

Elsner B, et al. - This meta-analysis aimed to provide an overview of the evidence network regarding the efficacy and safety of transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) and to determine the effectiveness of the different stimulation types. Comparing different forms of tDCS demonstrated that in people with stroke, cathodal tDCS was the most promising treatment option to improve activities of daily living (ADL) capacity.
