Transarterial embolisation for congenital renal arteriovenous malformations improves clinical condition even with partial obliteration
Clinical Radiology Aug 11, 2017
Sheng TW, et al. – This study was carried out to assess the utility and safety of transarterial embolisation (TAE), applied to treat congenital renal arteriovenous malformations (CRAVMs). When used to treat congenital renal arteriovenous malformation, transarterial embolisation was safe and effective; the complication profile was acceptable and renal function was preserved. Remarkably, transarterial embolisation enhanced the clinical condition of congenital renal arteriovenous malformation patients even when obliteration was only partial.
