Transarterial chemoembolization with drug-eluting beads versus conventional transarterial chemoembolization in locally advanced hepatocellular carcinoma

Baur J, et al. – The efficacy of transarterial chemoembolization with drug–eluting beads (DEB–TACE) was compared with conventional TACE (cTACE) in locally advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. In investigations, no survival benefit for patients treated with either DEB–TACE or cTACE was observed. However, a higher rate of postinterventional pain could be detected after DEB–TACE.
