Mukherjee D, et al. – This research scrutinized the impact of neopterin, a marker of cellular immune activation, and kynurenine (KYN), an inflammatory byproduct of the serotonin pathway, on the relationship between total sleep time and depression severity in bipolar disorder (BD). The results of this study showed that inflammation, sleep as well as mood were closely intertwined.
