Journal of Arthroplasty Aug 27, 2020

Pfluger MJ, Fromel DE, Meurer A, et al. - This study was intended to examine prospectively collected institutional database for patients who had undergone revision total hip arthroplasty (THA) at the institution (Orthopedic University Hospital Friedrichsheim, Frankfurt) between 2007 and 2011. Individuals were categorized according to the American Society of Anesthesiologists category and a number of comorbidities. Researchers examined their effect on perioperative parameters. For evaluation of perioperative risk, especially cardiac comorbidities are linked to unfavorable outcomes, which have important implications.
