TNF blockers inhibit spinal radiographic progression in ankylosing spondylitis by reducing disease activity: Results from the Swiss Clinical Quality Management cohort

Annals of Rheumatic Diseases Sep 27, 2017

Molnar C, et al. - This study is performed to examine the effect of tumour necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFis) on spinal radiographic progression in ankylosing spondylitis (AS). The outcome of this study suggests that the TNFis are related to a reduction of spinal radiographic progression in patients with AS. This impact appears to be mediated through the inhibiting impact of TNFi on disease activity.
