Visser NCM, et al. - This research was initiated in order to define the concordance between tissue microarrays (TMAs) of different sizes and whole slide for 15 different antibodies in endometrial cancer. Experts also analyzed the use of TMAs in preoperative endometrial samples. It was reported that 2.0-mm cores were the preferred size for immunohistochemical studies in endometrial cancer. TMAs served as a good alternative for whole slide analysis in scientific studies with large patient cohorts for all tested antibodies, even in preoperative endometrial samples. Nevertheless, caution was recommended while interpreting the TMA results of p16 and stathmin.
