Timing of first childbirth and age-related cataract

Park S, et al. – This article was composed with the objective to ascertain the connections of age at first childbirth to age–related cataract in postmenopausal women. It was concluded that the later age of first childbirth was independently connected with higher risks of nuclear and cortical cataract in postmenopausal women. Further prospective studies are needed to explain the role of age at first childbirth in developing the age–related cataract.
