Time to treatment and survival in veterans with lung cancer eligible for curative intent therapy
Respiratory Medicine Jul 22, 2018
Ha D, et al. - Researchers performed a retrospective review to evaluate how timely treatment was in stage I-IIIA lung cancer patients estimated eligible for curative intent therapy and to examine the link between time to treatment (TTT) and timely treatment (TT) with survival. They studied consecutive cases of stage I-IIIA lung at the VA San Diego Healthcare System between October 2010–April 2017. Survival analyses were performed using multivariable (MVA) Cox proportional hazards regressions. They noted treatment was timely in 33–77% of these patients. They reported no association of TTT and TT with survival.
