Arthritis Research & Therapy Jan 24, 2019
Wervers K, et al. - Data from 296 subjects (mean age 51 years) in the Dutch southwest early psoriatic arthritis (PsA) cohort (DEPAR) study were examined to assess the influence of time elapsed to minimal disease activity (MDA) on health-related quality of life (HRQoL), work productivity, and radiographic damage throughout the first year after diagnosis of the disease. Researchers observed an improvement in Short Form 36 (SF36) Physical Component Scale (SF36-PCS) and productivity scores after gaining MDA. They also noticed a significant improvement in HRQoL and functioning after gaining MDA (irrespective of time to first MDA).
