Time to awakening after cardiac arrest and the association with target temperature management
Resuscitation Jan 28, 2018
Lybeck A, et al. - In unconscious survivors of cardiac arrest, target temperature management (TTM) at 32–36 °C is recommended. Researchers, in this study, report awakening in the target temperature management (TTM)-trial. They observe that late awakening is common and often has a good neurological outcome. In TTM33, time to awakening was longer than in TTM36. Differences in sedative drugs administered during the first 48 hours could not be related to this difference.
