TIGIT expression levels on CD4+ T cells are correlated with disease severity in patients with psoriasis
Clinical and Experimental Dermatology Mar 14, 2018
Wang FF, et al. - Experts sought to investigate T-cell immunoglobulin and ITIM domain (TIGIT) expression and its effects on CD4+ T-cell function in psoriasis. IGIT expression on CD4+ T cells and mRNA level were significantly lower in patients with psoriasis vulgaris compared with healthy controls. In the pathogenesis of psoriasis, a possible contribution of downregulation of TIGIT on CD4+ T cells was suggested. Also, data suggested that activation of the TIGIT signaling pathway could be a potential therapeutic target.
