Tibial tunnel placement in anatomic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: A comparison study of outcomes between patient-specific drill template vs conventional arthroscopic techniques
Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery Feb 05, 2018
Zhu M, et al. - This trial was conducted to evaluate a novel strategy of patient-specific drill template (PDT) for the placement of tibial tunnel (TT) in the anatomic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Researchers also intended to gauge its efficacy and accuracy. More accurate TT positioning could be provided by the novel PDT strategy when compared to the traditional arthroscopic technique in ACL reconstruction. Nonetheless, similar results were yielded in the PDT and the standard techniques through the functional scales and stability tests.
