Thyroid autoantibodies in pregnancy are associated with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy: Ma'anshan Birth Cohort Study

Han Y, et al. - The correlations between maternal thyroid autoantibodies positivity were inspected by the experts in the first and the second trimesters with the risk of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP). Yielded data revealed that anti-thyroperoxidase autoantibody (TPOAb) positivity and anti-thyroglobulin autoantibody (TgAb) positivity in the first trimester were related to an increased risk of HDP. Such correlations were observed even among euthyroid women.
