Vedantam A, et al. - Experts coveted an investigation and determination of the risk factors for 30-day adverse events in children undergoing epilepsy surgery, with the aid of the multicenter American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program–Pediatric (NSQIP-P). A prominent link was illustrated between hemispherectomy with higher perioperative events in children undergoing epilepsy surgery. Data recommended that the quality improvement initiatives for hemispherectomy ought to target surgical blood loss and wound-related complications. Results obtained also underscored the racial disparities in access to cranial pediatric epilepsy surgery and perioperative complications.
