Thirty-day complication rate of percutaneous gastrojejunostomy and gastrostomy tube insertion using a single-puncture, dual-anchor technique
Clinical Imaging Jan 17, 2018
Zener R, et al. - Researchers here investigated 30-day complication rate of percutaneous gastrojejunostomy (GJ) vs gastrostomy (G) tube insertion using a single-puncture, dual-anchor technique. Observations reveal that 30-day major complication and procedure-related mortality rates from G and GJ tube insertion are low. GJ tube insertion, maybe because of more minor complications, is associated with a higher overall complication rate, but it may avoid long-term adverse events.
