Thermal stability of mafenide and amphotericin B topical solution
Burns Sep 25, 2017
Rizzo JA, et al. - Researchers here aimed to characterize the chemical stability, structure and bioactivity of mafenide acetate/amphotericin B solution (SMAT) stored at 2 °C, 25 °C, and 40 °C for up to 90 days. Under warm storage, the amphotericin B component of SMAT degraded within 2 days. While mafenide was stable over 90 days, the bioactivity of SMAT solution might be lost within 2 days as well.
