The value of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein in hand and knee radiographic osteoarthritis: Data from the Dong-gu Study

Wen L, et al. - Given that there was an inconsistent association between high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and osteoarthritis (OA), experts assessed the relationship between hs-CRP and various radiographic findings in older adults with OA. A significant relationship of a higher hs-CRP level with radiographic OA severity was noted. Findings suggested that out of the various types of radiographic damage, all of sclerosis, erosion, and malalignment were significantly related to hs-CRP levels.
