The value of diffusion-weighted imaging in combination with conventional magnetic resonance imaging for improving tumor detection for early cervical carcinoma treated with fertility-sparing surgery
International Journal of Gynecological Cancer Oct 05, 2017
Li X, et al. - The value of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) in combination with conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for improving tumor detection in young patients treated with fertility-sparing surgery due to early cervical carcinoma is examined in this study. The addition of DWI to conventional MRI considerably improves the sensitivity and accuracy of tumor detection in young patients treated with fertility-sparing surgery, which supports the inclusion quantitative investigation of ADC value in routine MRI protocol before fertility-sparing surgery.
