Lau BPH, et al. - This study assessed the additional utility of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the evaluation of cervical spine injuries, over and above computed tomography scans. Presence of aforementioned predictive factors and neurological deficits were recognized as the indications for MRI in this population. Otherwise, medical treatment can be employed to treat patients without the fear of missing a substantial cervical injury.
