The use of ultrasound in the clinical re-staging of the axilla after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT)

Peppe A, et al. - This study sought to report on the accuracy of axillary US (aUS) for identifying residual axillary disease post-neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT). Clinically useful information post-NACT was provided by axillary ultrasound. It would guide surgical decision-making. As per observations, patients with aUS-negative axillae were likely to have a lower false negative rate of sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy (SLNB) after NACT.
