Pitiot V, et al. - This trial examined the beneficial aspects of the use of CT-scan in foreign body aspiration, among children. The utility of CT -scan with multiplanar reconstruction in suspected foreign body aspiration was discovered to be a reliable alternative to endoscopy under general anesthesia. It was particularly beneficial in asymptomatic patients, with the advantage of avoiding too many negative endoscopies.
