The survival impact of surgical therapy in squamous cell carcinoma of the hard palate
The Laryngoscope Jun 01, 2018
Alonso JE, et al. - Authors ascertained the incidence and determinants of survival of patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the hard palate (SCCHP) between the years of 1973 to 2014 using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. In the advanced stage, an overall poor prognosis was portended by SCCHP and in an early stage, it portended a greater prognosis. SCCHP was a relatively infrequent tumour. For improved OS and DSS, surgical therapy was found to be an independent predictor, whereas RT was related to reduced OS and DSS.
