Chang JM, et al. - Authors performed this review to assess the success of sentinel lymph node biopsy among women undergoing neoadjuvant therapy. They identified sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) as a viable technique in these patients. In contrast to planned axillary lymph node dissection (ALND), patients with pre-neoadjuvant therapy proven axillary disease could be a candidate for SLNB with good multidisciplinary review of their response and localization of previously positive lymph nodes.
