The role of radiotherapy in early-stage primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the Waldeyer ring: A retrospective cohort study
American Journal of Clinical Oncology Jul 30, 2018
Lee SF, et al. - In the treatment of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) of the Waldeyer ring (WR), the role radiotherapy (RT) plays and additionally the impacts of associated covariates were investigated in this retrospective cohort study. For this investigation, researchers retrospectively reviewed patients with stage I to II DLBCL of the WR who had treatment at the center between 1994 and 2010. In stage I to II DLBCL of the WR, RT was correlated with improved overall survival (OS) and event-free survival (EFS). In addition, an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status > 1 and age above 60 years were observed to negatively influence OS and EFS.
