The role of personality, disability and physical activity in the development of medication-overuse headache: A prospective observational study
The Journal of Headache and Pain Jun 02, 2018
Mose LS, et al. - Researchers investigated if personality characteristics, disability, and physical activity level are associated with the onset of medication-overuse headache (MOH) in a group of migraine patients. They also explored the extent to which these factors in combination can predict the onset of MOH. Observations suggested that the onset of MOH was associated with disability, headache intensity, and frequency but not with the personality and the level of physical activity. Despite moderate study size, the multivariable LASSO (Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator) model based on personality, disability and physical activity is applicable but can be considered as a weak classifier for discriminating between absence and presence of MOH.
