The role of neural precursor cell-expressed developmentally down-regulated protein 9 in predicting bacillus Calmette-Guerin response in nonmuscle invasive bladder cancer
Urologic Oncology: Seminars and Original Investigations Mar 13, 2018
El-Babouly IM, et al. - The sensitivity and specificity of highly-expressed neural precursor cell-expressed developmentally down-regulated protein 9 (NEDD9) protein in predicting the bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) response and its impact on recurrence or progression-free survivals were determined. NEDD9 protein is a predictive marker in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer with reasonable sensitivity and specificity. A highly significant difference in survival without recurrence or progression was noted in patients with high expression of NEDD9 compared to low expression.
