Rodrigues S, et al. – This study investigated impaired fasting glucose (IFG) as the main cause of vascular dysfunction via elevated sympathetic tone in nondiabetic patients with metabolic syndrome (MetS). In these subjects, an adrenergic burden was observed as a result of increased plasma glucose levels, that can explain vascular dysfunction.
