Chen Y, et al. - Researchers sought to determine the impact of hemoglobin fluctuations on cardiovascular prognosis of patients on peritoneal dialysis (PD). They noted an association of hemoglobin fluctuations with the cardiovascular prognosis in patients on PD. Timely treatment of anemia was recommended in PD patients without cardiovascular events history and keeping hemoglobin within a relatively low level was recommended in patients with history of cardiovascular events.
